Disability support workers

Practical, respectful visual supports and planning tools for daily living, choice-making and independence.

Good support is built on knowing what matters to each person and how they like to be supported. These resources focus on daily living, visual routines, choice-making, communication preferences and community participation, written in plain, respectful language.

Many are designed to be completed with the person, not about them, and can be adapted with photos, symbols or objects.

Focus areas

  • Daily living
  • Visual routines
  • Choice and autonomy
  • Communication preferences
  • Community participation
  • Building independence

Scope: General support tools. Follow the person's support plan and any guidance from their allied health and behaviour support practitioners.
