Resource Licensing

What you can and cannot do with Practitioner Plus resources.

Ownership

All Practitioner Plus resources are original works owned by Practitioner Plus and protected by copyright. When you download a resource, you receive a licence to use it. You do not own the resource itself.

What you can do

If you have access to a resource (free, or through your membership), you may:

  • Use it in your own professional practice, including with individual clients and groups you work with
  • Print copies and give them to the clients you work with
  • Share a digital copy directly with a client you work with, for their personal use
  • Adapt a resource for a client, for example by changing wording or removing sections, as long as the copyright notice remains
  • If you are a Plus member, use the editable Word version of a resource to adapt it (see Editable versions)

What you cannot do

  • Sell, sublicense or charge for resources
  • Publish resources online, including on websites, social media or publicly accessible shared drives
  • Share resources with other practitioners or organisations outside your licence
  • Remove or alter copyright notices or Practitioner Plus branding
  • Include resources in courses, books, apps or other products without written permission
  • Use resources to train artificial intelligence models

Editable versions

Plus members can also download an editable version of each resource (a Microsoft Word file) to adapt it for the people they work with. Editable versions are licensed on the same terms as the rest of this licence, with the additions below.

Who can use them

Editable versions are available only to current Plus members and, for Team Plus and Enterprise, to their authorised users. This includes the editable versions of free resources.

What you can do with an editable version

  • Change the wording, layout, examples and order of a resource, and remove sections, so that it suits a client, group or service you work with
  • Fill it in on screen
  • Add your name, your practice or organisation name, and your logo
  • Print adapted copies, or share them digitally with the clients, participants and supporters you work with, for their personal use

What you must keep

Every copy you make, including adapted copies, must keep the copyright notice: © Practitioner Plus. Licensed for use under practitionerplus.com/licensing. You must not remove or obscure Practitioner Plus branding or present an adapted resource as solely your own work. [Business decision required: whether members may remove the Practitioner Plus logo from the top of page 1 if the footer notice stays.]

What you cannot do with an editable version

  • Share the editable file itself, or any adapted editable file, with anyone other than your own clients and participants, for example with colleagues, other services or organisations outside your licence
  • Upload editable or adapted versions to a website, social media, a shared resource bank, a learning platform or any other place where people outside your licence can get them
  • Sell, sublicense or charge for adapted versions, or include them in courses, books, apps or other products without our written permission
  • Use editable or adapted versions to train artificial intelligence models

Your responsibility for changes

Practitioner Plus is responsible for the resource as published. If you change a resource, you are responsible for the accuracy, safety and suitability of your changes, and for using the adapted resource within your training, scope of practice and organisational procedures. Our practitioner notes, research basis and version number describe the published version, not your adapted copy. [Legal review: wording that fits the Professional Disclaimer and the Australian Consumer Law.]

Client information

If you fill in an editable version with client information, you are responsible for storing and sharing it in line with your privacy, health records and confidentiality obligations. Do not upload completed copies containing client information to Practitioner Plus.

Licence types

  • Free resources: licensed to anyone who downloads them, for use as described above. The editable Word version of a free resource is available to Plus members only.
  • Individual Plus: licensed to the individual member only. Not transferable.
  • Team Plus: licensed to the organisation, for use by up to 10 authorised users within its services.
  • Enterprise: as set out in your written agreement with us.

When a membership ends

[Business decision required: whether members may keep using copies already given to clients after their membership ends.]

[Business decision required: whether former Plus members may keep using editable files and adapted copies they made. Suggested: copies already given to clients may stay with those clients; former members cannot download new editable versions and should not keep using editable files to make new copies.]

Copyright notice

Each resource includes the notice: © Practitioner Plus. Licensed for use under practitionerplus.com/licensing.
