Scope and limitations

A planning tool. It does not replace individual occupational therapy assessment.

Research basis

Children learn to self-regulate through warm, responsive co-regulation from adults and predictable environments. Evidence for sensory-based interventions is limited and mixed; this resource is for understanding a person's sensory preferences and adjusting environments, not a sensory treatment.

What is included

A 2-page printable A4 PDF, including a practitioner notes page with the research basis (version 1.0).

Originality

Original Practitioner Plus content: wording, activity structure, layout and icons were created for this resource. No third-party worksheets, illustrations or text were reproduced.
