About this resource
Safe storage includes knowing what is in the house. This log records what came in, what was counted, and what went back to the pharmacy. Schedule 8 rules differ by state, so check yours.
Purpose

- Complete it at the time, in plain and respectful language.
- Check a sample regularly and add any improvements to your Continuous Improvement Register.
Accessibility considerations
Landscape tables with room to write. The Word version can be filled in on screen.
Scope and limitations
An editable template and practical record. It is not legal advice and does not by itself show that a provider meets the NDIS Practice Standards. Check it against the current Practice Standards, NDIS rules, your registration groups and your state or territory's laws, and adapt it to how your service really works.
Higher-risk topic: use only within your training, supervision and organisational procedures.
Research basis
The Core Module expects records that clearly identify each participant's medication and dose, workers who understand effects, side effects and what to do after an incident, and secure storage accessed only by trained workers. National guidance sets out principles for managing medicines in the community.
